Brand 1: Avene

When we started carrying Avene, I was really excited to try their products.  I have suffered from sensitive skin all my life.  Though it has improved as I’ve gotten older, I still get itchy, red, flaky skin that reacts to a lot of different factors.  What I especially love about Avene is that they make products to target specific skin concerns as well as sensitive skin.  Today I’ll tell you about my favorite Avene products.

For my acne issues, I use Avene TriAcneal and Avene Clean-Ac Cleansing Cream.  Clean-Ac Cleansing Cream is a soap-free and fragrance-free cleansing lotion that soothes existing blemishes and provides hydrating comfort.  Since acne isn’t my main skin concern, I alternate using this cleanser about every other day.  TriAcneal is great for oily skin or hormonal acne.  It’s a bright yellow, lightweight cream with a light scent and tingly feeling.  I apply this to my problem areas – chin and jawline – where hormonal acne typically occurs.  It provides exfoliation with Glycolic Acid to get rid of those tiny under-the-skin bumps, calms break outs, minimizes potential acne scars, and fights aging with Retinaldehyde.  It leaves my skin feeling soft, and I notice reduced blemishes the morning after I use it.

For sensitivity and dryness, I use Avene Thermal SpringWater.  This is a great pick-me-up mid-afternoon or after a long, hot day.  After spritzing it onto my face, I get an immediate “Ahhh” feeling, it’s so refreshing!  When my skin needs extra soothing, I use the Avene Antirougeurs Calm Soothing Repair Mask.  I leave it on for the full recommended 15 minutes.  It has a more gel-complex consistency, so I wasn’t sure if it would be the right choice for my dry skin.  However, after rinsing it off, I felt that it had created a protective barrier on my face.  My skin felt really clean and my redness was soothed.  Because of my dry skin, I immediately applied moisturizer to achieve the best results.

Often after I shower, my body is itchy and red just from contact with water.  To relieve this irritation, I use my Avene Trixera Selectiose Emollient Cream.  This body cream has more of a lotion consistency, so it spreads on easily to calm and cool irritation without a heavy feeling.  It soothes my itchy, dry skin and reduces inflammation.  It’s also fragrance and paraben-free so I don’t have to worry about further irritation.  When I have the time to soak in a soothing bath or need the extra care, I use Avene Trixera Selectiose Emollient Cleansing Bath.  This soap-free bath relieves my itchiness and inflammation and restores the skin barrier.  Don’t just take my word for it – the National Eczema Association has just given these products and the Avene Trixera Emollient Cleansing Gel the Seal of Acceptance for the safety and efficacy of eczema patients.  All Avene Trixera products are also gentle enough for infants, children and adults.

The bottom line is that no matter what sensitivity your skin has – whether a specific condition like Rosacea or Eczema or a mild irritation – Avene has the products just for you that will ALSO target additional skin concerns from acne to aging.

I would love to try the TriAcneal because I deal with oily skin and hormonal acne. I'm also interested in the TriXera Selections Emollient Cream for my daughter. She has the most sensitive, dry, rough skin, even when we use cetaphil daily. These sound like great products and I would love to sample them! Thanks for the chance!

I liked the Avene page I was #26. I would also love to try the Avene TriAcneal for the hormonal acne I get on my jawline. It also causes my skin to get red and inflamed plus I have past acne scars from it.

Trying this again. :)

All the products look amazing, however the Antirougeurs FORT looks perfect for my redness - nothing seems to help it! My daughter has had eczema since she was born that seems to get worse in the winter, so I'll have to try the TriXera Selections Emollient Cream on her.

I liked, shared, tweeted, and pinned all the products (social media junkie here) but lost the like numbers when my first post didn't go through. :(

Thanks BSD!
