Phyto does it again with Petit Phyto Hair and Body Shampoo!

For an's picture of my skin after the peel and I am VERY proud to say that this is no makeup ladies AND taken outside!  VERY pleased with the end result and may even due it again soon!  I'm also on week two of using the Clarisonic Opal and am VERY impressed with the puffiness of my eyes decreasing AND the softness of the skin in general underneath my eyes!  I will blog on that sometime soon!

I've been using Johnson's Baby Shampoo and Body Wash for my daughter since she was born.  I haven't been displeased, but it really has no aroma and since I hadn't tried anything different I decided to give Petit Phyto Hair and Body Shampoo a whirl.  We have been using it for the last several bubble baths and I must say it's been a smash hit!  The smell is light, fresh, and clean but it actually does have an aroma and one that my daughter LOVES!  To top it off it lathers MUCH better than Johnson's and her hair was noticeably shinier!  I definitely recommend this product for your little ones and it's also hypoallergenic which is another big kuddos for so many.

One Minute Manicure....seriously AMAZING!

A quick update on the breakout is clearing up and the results are fabulous!  My skin has tightened up, pore size reduced, and the lines around my mouth have visibly diminished.  Remember, it is the perfect time to do a peel and we offer the products you need for before and after care.  I'll post a pic of my skin on the next blog.  I've also started using the Clarisonic Opal this week and am already noticing a difference around my eyes...most especially with the puffiness.  I will blog more on that in another week or two.

My baby girl just got over a nasty stomach bug that lasted for over a week.  We are already a wee bit nutty about washing our hands in my household, but when anyone is sick....we wash even more!  Add on top of the even more frequent hand washings...was the use of sanitation wipes throughout the house attempting to prevent anyone else in the house from getting sick.  The result?  Incredibly jacked up hands!

I had used One Minute Manicure years before at a nail salon where I use to get my manicures.  I always loved the end result, but had assumed it had more to do with getting a manicure than the actual product.  Boy, was I wrong!  I grabbed some off the shelf today and after only one treatment my hands feeling a 100x better and feel surprisingly soft.  This is definitely a product I am now hooked on and I'm ecstatic that I discovered it before Winter!  Maybe I can save my hands from the painful cracking and bleeding that I unfortunately typically deal with.  Woo-hoo!  Take a look at the photos...they aren't the best, but take my word for it...this stuff rocks!

Farouk CHI Flat Iron....Straighten me right on up!

For a quick update, my face is looking AOK after the Cosmedix Timeless Peel with Jesner.  I do have some breakouts, which isn't uncommon, so I will post a picture of my face after the breakout clears up.  I am VERY happy with the results though.  The wrinkles around my mouth have obviously reduced...which was my main goal...and now onto the next.

Since I haven't been able to use much of anything on my peeling face, I decided to blog about the Farouk CHI Flat Iron.  My hair...well, it's bleached, fine (but a lot of it), and has some wave to it.  On a normal day, my hair is typically pulled back with as little effort as possible.  I will fully admit that I am one of those gals that has long hair, but you will probably only see it down a few times a year.  That being said, when I do wear my hair down, I ALWAYS flat iron it.  I had used the over the counter models for a few years and never been very impressed...they helped, but never gave me the look I was attempting to achieve.  Then...along came the career change and when you work at a salon you have to put your best foot forward so I shelled out the money for my Farouk CHI Flat Iron.

The results....AMAZING!  The difference was literally like night and day.  My hair goes straight with one...or maybe two passes and stays flat all day.  The only creases I get are from when I pull my hair up at night to go to sleep.  Good news is that it's an easy fix the next morning with even less effort...HUGE kuddos in my book.  Want even better news?  My original CHI iron is still working today (6 years later).  I passed mine along to my Mums and bought a new one with more heat control.  If you're anything like me, it was incredibly difficult for me to shell out over $100 for a flat iron but I can honestly say it was a fabulous investment and I more than got my money's worth out of the deal.  Good news for you is that we have the Farouk CHI Flat Iron for the low price of $175.97 which is $44 less than retail.

Deal time!  My new favorite product to use on my hair before flat ironing is Phyto Phytodefrisant and I have samples!  Just respond to this blog with your email address and I will contact your for your shipping information.  And, no worries...we pay for the shipping too since some of you have asked.  Don't forget about our DIVA DOLLARS!  Refer a friend to sign up for our blog and once verified, I will send you a $5 gift certificate.  There's absolutely no limit.  Just email me your friend's email to:

Thank you Cosmedix for peeling the years off my face!

Several years ago while managing a salon, I had a Cosmedix Timeless Peel done.  It was more for being a practice dummy for the aestheticians than my actually wanting or probably needing it done at that time, but since many years have passed and I now have fine lines, wrinkles, and larger pores I decided to do it all over again.  I had my consultation about two weeks before I had the peel so that I could voice any and all concerns to my medical aesthetician.  She had me prep my skin by using Cosmedix Define daily or every other day until a few days before my appointment for the peel.  I had already noticed a difference just from using the Define and I went in last Friday for my appointment (make sure if you decide to do this, that you go to a reputable day spa or dermatologist...if the peel isn't done properly, it can cause serious damage to your skin).

Since it had been so many years, I had forgotten the process.  The appointment didn't take long at all.  She basically cleansed my face and put a jesner peel on, then after several minutes, the second Timeless Peel on.  It does sting a bit, but nothing terrible by any means.  I left the salon with the peel still on my face and was oh so SHINY, but was able to go out to dinner that evening for a friend's birthday.  During dinner my face began to get red and of course, still shiny.  When I got home that evening I washed my face and could immediately begin to feel the tightening of my skin.  By the time I woke up Saturday morning, the shine and redness had drastically reduced.  I gently washed my face again and put my sunscreen on and we traveled to my hometown to visit friends and family.  (another note...if you plan on doing this you have GOT to use sunscreen daily to prevent the new skin from damage as it peels)  By the end of the evening my forehead and chin were starting to peel, again...nothing too terrible, but the process had began!!!

Saturday morning I woke up and was one peeling Mama!  I gently washed my face again and put on my sunscreen.  Since I had forgotten to grab Cosmedix Reflect on Friday before leaving town, I used my regular sunscreen.  I had to be careful to just press the product in and since it's a white lotion, it made my already peeling face look even more put it simply, I was VERY happy to grab the Reflect this morning since it is a spray and MUCH easier to apply.  Much thanks to my medical aesthetician Alana for the product recommendation!

The first thing one of my best gals asked me was if it hurt...and it doesn't, or at least not in my opinion.  It just feels a little tight..nothing like a sunburn where when warm water hits it for the first day or two it burns like crazy.  My skin beneath the already peeled areas looks amazing!  I can't wait to see the finished product.  My main concerns were some larger pores located under my eyes by my nose, a few wrinkles on my forehead, but mainly the lines around my mouth which I have been annoyed with for the last several years and am trying alternatives to fillers.  The lines on my forehead are no longer noticeable and the pores around my nose have drastically reduced.  Since my mouth is still peeling and some of the areas under my eyes are still peeling, I can't exactly tell how everything is going to look....but seriously CAN'T WAIT!!

If you have any questions regarding the peel process, the down time, what to expect, etc...feel free to just post something below.  I am more than happy to answer any questions and if I don't have the answer, then I can ask one of our medical aestheticians.  We are always happy to help and advise you on all of your beauty needs.

Until next time....stay tuned and stay beautiful!
